Risk disclosure

Last updated August 2026

Ownify is pre-launch. Nothing is currently offered to anyone. This page sets out, in general terms, the risks that apply to tokenised fractional ownership of real-world assets, so that they are visible before any conversation begins rather than buried in a document at the end of one.

Capital is at risk

The value of an asset can fall as well as rise. You may not get back what you put in, and you may lose the entire amount. Past performance and projected returns are not reliable indicators of future results.

Illiquidity

Fractional ownership tokens are not listed on a public exchange. Secondary trading is not yet built. Until it exists, and even once it does, there may be no buyer at a price you find acceptable. You should assume you cannot exit on demand.

Income is not guaranteed

Distributions depend on the underlying asset actually generating income after costs. Vacancy, operating expenses, maintenance, tax, currency movement and interest rates can all reduce or eliminate a distribution in any period.

Technology and custody

Ownership is recorded by smart contracts on a public blockchain. Smart contracts can contain defects. If you lose access to the wallet holding your tokens, that access may be unrecoverable. Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible.

Structural risk

Tokens record a beneficial interest in a ring-fenced holding entity that owns the asset — they are not a direct claim on the asset itself and not a claim on Ownify. Your position depends on that entity, its administrator and its governing documents.

Regulatory risk

The rules for tokenised real-world assets are still forming in the markets we operate in. Licensing is in progress and we do not claim approvals we do not hold. Regulatory change may restrict transfers, limit who can hold tokens, or affect the structure itself.

Concentration

Each asset is a single, undiversified holding in one location and one sector. It should be considered only as part of a wider portfolio and only with money you can afford to leave in place for the long term.
